Here's a simple and easy Payasam that you can try for Onam. I've been thinking about what to post as Onam special this time. I wanted to make a Payasam, that too jaggery based, since it's my fav kind.
Since I've already posted almost all the basic and traditional Payasam recipes, I wanted to try something different. My friend Sheena, suggested this Mathanga Payasam and here it is. Like I've said here, I tend to associate Mathanga (Pumpkin) with savoury dishes automatically. However off late, because of Pumpkin cakes and this Pumpkin Halwa, am open to the idea of a dessert with Pumpkin.
This Payasam is quite easy to make and the cooking time is less in comparison to Parippu Payasam. I always use Coconut Milk Powder for all my cooking and that makes Payasam making kinda super easy.
